Mexico Tech Week 2026

Terms of the HUMANS game at Mexico Tech Week

In effect from October 24, 2026

What you accept

The game is run by Marathon Systema LLC (Wyoming, United States), 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, the company behind HUMANS.

By tapping Continue on the first screen you accept these terms and the Privacy notice. Nothing of yours is sent before that tap. If you do not agree, do not take part.

How it works

At the start we ask for a photo of you and your first name. Then you answer a few questions, in your own words if you like.

AI agents read your answers, write a portrait of you and compute your compatibility with the other people in the game.

If something in your portrait does not sound like you, you can tell the agent, an AI, in a chat inside the game. It changes only what you ask, and what you write to it also counts toward your profile and your compatibility. The chat is deleted along with your answers.

The team runs the engine in rounds. Each round gives you one connection at most: a pair the system proposes because it clears 70% compatibility. You may get none.

Your photo

Before it is used, OpenAI’s moderation service checks it automatically. If it finds sexual, violent or self-harm content, we refuse it; if it cannot be checked, it is not used. A refused or unchecked photo is never shown to another person in the game.

It is never public: it is not on the stand’s screen, the poster or anywhere else. It is shown, with your first name, only to the person the system proposes as your pair, from the moment the pair exists and for as long as neither of you says no.

It is kept in private storage, without the data it carries from your phone (such as location). The HUMANS team can open it only for a safety review, and every time it does so is logged.

It is deleted by November 10, 2026 at 23:59, Mexico City time, at the latest.

What your connection sees, and what you see

If the system proposes you as a pair, each of you sees on your phone the other person’s photo and first name, your compatibility percentage, why the engine believes in the pair and traits of the other person drawn from their answers, words they wrote included.

If you both say yes, each of you also sees the portrait the agent wrote of the other and can leave the other a contact. Each of you sees the other’s contact only once you have both said yes and both left one.

What you write for the other person is your responsibility, and so is what happens next.

The stand’s screen

It shows the game without saying who is who: how many people are playing, how the engine is doing and, for each pair, its place in the round (for example, 2 of 5), its percentage, a few traits of each person taken from the options they chose and why the engine believes in it.

It never shows photos, names, ages or genders. The explanation of each pair is written by the AI from both people’s answers, and it may refer to what they shared. Only your phone tells you that the pair on the screen is yours.

What the HUMANS team does

It runs the game from a private console, protected by a username and password. There it sees the answers, the first names, the dates, the portraits, each round’s results and the judge agent’s text.

It can add a person with their answers, edit or pause someone, remove a photo, remove someone from the game, hide a pair from the screen, open or close sign-ups, download the answers (without contacts or photos) and run, end or repeat a round. It can also change, pause or end the game at any time.

It never sees the contacts you share.

To take part

By taking part you agree to:

  • Be 18 or older.
  • Use a real photo of yourself, with no one else in it, no minors and nothing sexual, violent or offensive.
  • Give your real first name.
  • Answer honestly.
  • Treat everyone else with respect, at the stand and beyond it.

If you do not, we may remove your photo or remove you from the game without notice.

What you let us do with what you send

What you send stays yours. You give us permission, free of charge, to store your photo, your first name and your answers, to process them with AI and to show them as these terms say. That permission is only to run the game, and it lasts until the deletion dates.

We do not use them for advertising and we do not sell them.

When everything is deleted

Your photo, by November 10, 2026 at 23:59 (Mexico City time) at the latest. Everything else, your name, answers, portrait, results and contacts included, on November 15, 2026.

It is deleted sooner if you tap “Delete my answers” on your phone or if we remove you from the game. Your previous photo is also deleted as soon as you upload another.

Afterwards we may keep only aggregated, anonymous statistics, such as how many people played or how many connections there were. They identify no one.

No guarantees

The game is free and offered as it is, with possible failures or pauses. We do not guarantee you a connection or any other result.

The results are produced by AI and can be wrong. A percentage is an estimate, not a promise.

Your safety

We do not verify anyone’s identity: not their name, not their age, not that the photo is theirs.

Meeting someone is your decision and at your own risk. Before you meet anyone, read our safety advice. If someone puts you at risk, call 911.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Marathon Systema LLC is not liable for what other people do or say, in the game or outside it, or for indirect damages from taking part.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and disputes go to its courts, to the extent the law allows. None of this takes away the consumer rights the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may change these terms or the game. If the terms change, we publish the new version on this page with its date, and it applies from then on.
