Terms of Service

You must be 18 or older to use HUMANS, and one account per person. Creating an account requires a working phone number, which we verify by text, and a number can only be used for one account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure. By creating an account you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

HUMANS has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. We remove content and expel users who violate these Terms. Prohibited conduct includes harassment, hate, threats, fraud and romance scams, impersonation, scraping, and automation.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is strictly prohibited and is reported as described in our child safety standards. Prostitution, sex trafficking, and commercial sexual exploitation are also strictly prohibited (consistent with FOSTA-SESTA). We keep records of moderation actions as evidence of enforcement.

We may warn, suspend, or ban accounts. You may appeal a moderation decision through our contact page. Reporting and blocking tools are built into the app.

Paid tiers are sold only through in-app purchase on the App Store and Google Play. They are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Manage or cancel your subscription, and request refunds, through your app store account; store terms govern those transactions.

HUMANS is not available in sanctioned jurisdictions, including Cuba, and Venezuela while our legal review is pending. You agree not to use the service from a sanctioned country and to comply with applicable export controls.

You retain rights to the content you provide and grant us the license needed to operate the service. To report copyright infringement, write to legal@humansconnections.com with the work you own, the material you say infringes it, your contact details, and a statement made in good faith. We answer every notice and remove material that should not be here.

HUMANS does not conduct background checks (see our safety page), does not guarantee matching results, and is not responsible for the conduct of any user. Meeting people you find through the service is your responsibility. The service is provided “as is”.

HUMANS is a matchmaking service. It is not a medical, psychiatric, psychological, counselling, or crisis service, and the AI you talk to is not a therapist, a doctor, or a professional of any kind. Nothing it says is advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and you should not rely on it as such or delay seeking professional help because of it.

In an emergency, contact your local emergency number. The app can surface crisis resources when it detects certain language, and that is a signpost, not care. We cannot monitor you, we cannot respond in real time, and we are not able to intervene.

You are free to share as much or as little as you want. Please do not send us information you would not want recorded, information about other people who have not agreed to it, or anything you are under a legal or professional duty to keep confidential. See our crisis protocol and Privacy Policy for what happens to what you do share.

Messages you send to the AI are screened automatically for risk to you or to another person, for indications that a user is under 18, and for content we are not willing to hold. When something is flagged, a person on our team may review it. We may limit, suspend, or close an account at any time where we reasonably believe someone is at risk, a user is under 18, our Terms have been broken, or the law requires it, and we may do so without notice where notice would increase the risk. Where we act, our appeals route remains open unless the law prevents it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and disputes are subject to the courts located there, to the extent permitted by law. Marathon Systema LLC is the operator. (DRAFT: to be confirmed with counsel.)
